Old Railway Sleepers

Old railway sleepers, made from reclaimed European softwood.

After being used for many decades across European countries, our railway sleepers are made from European softwood and treated with creosote. They are Grade A sleepers, meaning that they are essentially sound and square edged.

Reclaimed railway sleepers are perfect for creating that rustic aesthetic for your project. Each piece carries history and character in its appearance. These sleepers were trusted to support rail lines for many years. So, you can rest assured that they will support your structure soundly.

Our treated softwood railway sleepers are made from ethically sourced and sustainable reclaimed oak. They are a great option for your construction project, best suited for pathways and structures. Due to their treatment process, they are best away from plants and children. Creosote can cause harm to plants and can irritate the skin. We would recommend that when working with reclaimed creosoted you wear protective equipment. Also, we would suggest you never use them in an indoor environment.
